All applicants must have graduated from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts from all institutions attended must be sent directly to the Graduate School of Management.

Mathematics Course Descriptions
A course description for all mathematics courses must be included in the supporting documentation that is sent to the Graduate School of Management.

Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
Official test scores must be sent directly to the Graduate School of Management.

Resume
Each applicant is required to provide a current resume, which includes work experience and educational background.

Letters of Recommendation
Used to assess academic or job performance. Three letters are required. Letters may be from faculty (preferred) or employers who can assess the applicant's abilities.

Statement of Goals and Objectives
Written response to an essay question, used to assess career goals and written communication skills.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit scores for the TOEFL. Students who have studied in the United States for more than two years are not required to submit TOEFL scores.

IELTS vs. TOEFL?
IELTS can be considered. International Admissions is only looking at the first digit the IELTS—the Band Score. Please remember, our cutoff scores are 79/213/550 for Master’s, therefore, Master’s applicants must land themselves in band 7. Applicants who test in at the half-step of a band and desire their scores rounded up – please note the GSM will not make that call. It is completely up to the International Admissions Office.

Financial Documentation
All international applicants to Kent State University must be able to document that they have the financial resources needed to support their educational and living expenses for at least one full year. Your financial support is usually verified by two documents: 1) a completed Financial Information Worksheet (provided with the application for admission), and 2) a bank statement or a bank letter from the appropriate financial institution signed by an official. (Such a statement may also be in the form of an affidavit.)

We will forward the transcripts, TOEFL, and financial documentation to International Admissions after we note the documents’ arrival.
