Courses Taught in English!
Spend three weeks learning about the historical, political, social and economic factors that have shaped Canada’s trading policies.
Receive training in intercultural management skills, international marketing competencies, financial and accounting regulations, and the logistics of transportation and cross border controls required by security.
Dates
May 17 (departure) through June 6 (return to U.S.)
Academic Requirements
Students must have a 2.8 GPA, at least 60 hours completed, and a business major. Students with a business minor may be considered
Courses
Students will receive 6 credit hours. See your academic advisor to determine how the courses will fit into your major.
Financial Information
- Program Cost: Approximately $4,000 plus airfare (estimated at $700) includes: housing, some meals during field trips, excursions, and ground transportation to and from the airport.
- Students will stay in on-campus housing at the Université Laval and will be responsible for their own meals which can be cooked at their residence.
- You should be prepared to have an additional $500-$1,000 for expenses not covered such as free weekend travels and dinners.
Payment Schedule
The application deadline is April 21, 2008 and payment must be made in full by April 30, 2008.
Passport
All participants are required to have a valid U.S. passport. Students are responsible for applying for and obtaining their own passport. For application information, please consult http:/travel.state.gov for more information.
Health Insurance
Travel health insurance is mandatory. HTH will be the provider. For more information, please consult their website at http://www.hthstudents.com/.
Flight Arrangements
Students are responsible for arranging their own flights to and from Quebec City. If students are interested in booking as a group to travel together, an advisor can assist in this process.
Excursions
Visit the National Assembly, an aluminum smelter, high and low tech business as well as sightseeing excursions including whale watching at the mouth of the Saguenay River.
