Events and Programming
The goal of ACE is to introduce its students to a variety of backgrounds and disciplines in the entrepreneurial world. As a group that encompasses many of the majors offered at Kent State, we would like to provide each of you with events that tie specifically to your major, or at least can be applied in many ways. Outside of class, students will participate in one or two activities a month. A typical year in the program would include the following events:
Fall Semester
- Meet and Greet Reception with the College of Business Colleagues, Accounting Freshman Interest Group, the Acelerated Bachelor of Business Learning Community
- Tour an entrepreneurial organization
- Lunch with the Entrepreneur in Residence and other business professionals
- Participiate in an Entrepreneurship Extravaganza, a full-day program focused on entrepreneurship.
Spring Semester
- Participate in a leadership and entrepreneurship workshop
- Tour an entrepreneurial organization
- Networking, resume and interview workshop
- End of Semester Social
"Experience taught me a few things. One is to listen to your gut, no matter how good something sounds on paper. The second is that you're generally better off sticking with what you know. And the third is that sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make." -- Donald Trump, real estate and entertainment mogul
